Upon entering the area of Philadelphia in which the Sheraton Society Hill Hotel is located, you will feel as if you have been transported back in time. The streets are made of cobblestone and horse-drawn carriages can be seen meandering up and down the streets. Although hotels as grand as the Sheraton Society Hill did not exist during the colonial era, the hotel pays ample homage to the city?s rich history and manages to easily blend into one of the oldest neighborhoods in the United States. Before the Sheraton was built at this location, a team of archeologists dug up many artifacts that dated as far back as 200 years. The hotel provides shuttle service to any downtown business Monday through Friday from 6:30 am until10:30 am. Because Philadelphia played such a large part in the creation of the United States as a free country, the city has always been a very popular tourist destination. The Sheraton Society Hill boasts 365 guest rooms spread out over four floors. All rooms have just recently been renovated to create a tranquil and relaxing environment. The Club Level Rooms are geared toward business travelers and feature a spacious desk, comfy chair, fax machine, printer and copier, a multi-line telephone with voicemail and data port. Adjoining rooms are available upon request as are handicap accessible and non-smoking rooms. Other modern day amenities in all accommodations include coffee maker, iron, ironing board, alarm clock and remote controlled color cable television.
